Revisiting Fungus

I felt a need to revisit the fungus I photographed yesterday.

In studying this picture, I think there are two bugs, both near the center of the photograph. I'll have to show my grandson Ben, a bug expert, and get his opinion.

I zoomed the lens all the way back before taking this picture, maybe to emphasize how special my camera is.  The log with all this interesting action is directly in the center of this photograph.

Spider at 50 Feet

I took this picture from a bridge above a waterway.  I wasn't sure what the white stuff was on the log.  I used all of my 50x zoom to see that these were mushrooms.  Not until I got home did I see the spider.

Don't Wake the Babies!

I'm visiting grandchildren in Dallas.  This morning, one of them pointed out this mourning dove to me.  She is nesting in the rain gutter above their front door.  Everyone is careful and quiet.

Hanging Baskets

I think I'm smart enough to plant a hanging basket.

I don't know how to say this, but my husband doesn't agree.

We picked up three hanging baskets last week.

I am in love.
